soviet union, you have been saying it even while you were dominating people so i have to give you credit here.

although it would have been nice to see your comments post tOSU.

If UGA jumps OU for the top spot by beating Bama and if (I hope not) OU beats us then they had better reclaim that spot again and soundly Then again, here is very little logical or fair in situations like this in the polls. We'll see.

I hope that a close win by Bama does not have not only them leaping us but having UGA staying just ahead of us. Doubtful but you never know.

Too many undefeated teams coming out of this weekend to know who will be #1. OU, UGA or Bama, Florida, LSU, Mizzou, Texas, Penn St., Wisconsin, BYU, and Tech could all be undefeated and in contention for votes. Gonna be a wild ride!

There are no good teams this year outside of the Big XII or SEC. None. At all.

The Big XII and SEC championship games should be the play in for the BCS championship.

As other teams lose, USC will climb back up the polls because they "almost won" the Ore St. game. Mark my words. They are the new ND.

wrong people

well half right

USC will win the next several, there will be some losses as top ten teams play each other.

they'll creep closer and closer

some will mention that they're waiting in the shadows and not out of it yet.

Then Pete and his pickup basketball team staff will blow another game.

Wasted Talent U

10-2 there's 1% of us SC fans who don't have our heads up our asses, who understand what is going on.

Pete's homegrown hires can't do **** with a football program oozing with talent but he's got a hell of a pickup basketball team.

The real question is whether USC falls behind us. They just lost to a 1-2 team, yet I bet they shake out around 7 or 8.

Soviet -

When exactly do you think the staff got bad? After losing Orgeron and Kiffin? I will admit I don't follow SC coaching that closely buit it seems to be the relatively the same staff.

There is just no excuse for a team like USC to lose to a team like that.

Incidentially, let's keep this score in mind as we discuss how the top 10 should look:

Penn State: 45
Oregon State: 14

First off, USC should not be ranked in the top 25 let alone top 10. My guess is they fall to 11th/12th. They will be heavily penalized for losing to an unranked team as they should be.

USC's coaching staff took a major turn for the worse following the 2004 NC season.

Pete pushed Chow out so he could promote his jerkoff godson Lane Kiffin, a guy NOBODY liked. And Sark as Co-OC though Kiffin was the main guy.

Pete also wanted control of the offense, he hated hearing things like "The Norm Chow offense" and even stated he would never have a coach like Norm Chow on his staff ever again. His ego just got too big after winning 2 straight NC and the 13-0 season. Pete is 3-9 in his only time as an OC. He's a defensive guy, his NFL conservative mentality on offense is **** in the college game. His little lackeys Sarkiffin (that's what we called them) clearly in over their heads and a huge step down from Chow who NEVER would've left if Pete hadn't pushed him out.

Tim Davis, our great OL coach, left because he would NEVER work under that jerk Lane Kiffin, like I said no one could stand that twerp. Davis left for the Miami Dolphins OL job.

Ed Orgeron left for the Ole Miss head coaching job. Nothing you can do about that one, he took a head job, fine. But replace him with someone competent. Our DL coach now is a bumbling idiot David Watson whose experience is grad assistant at Michigan St and 2 years of coaching at South Minnesota Tech U or some place no one's heard of. Typical Pete Carroll hire.

Sark as OC, he can't handle the QB/OC together, they won't admit it but our QB coach is Yogi Roth, he's technically a GA but he's our de facto QB coach. Only reason he's on staff is because he's best friends and former teammate at Pitt of Pete's idiot son, the TE coach Brennan Carroll, but we call him Spaulding (from Caddyshack, lol) Yogi is our QB coach, his coaching experience consists of being USC's video assistant in 2005 and 2006, yes our QB coach is the former video assistant, that's what his resume says. Yogi is game day QB coach. See his resume here...

Yogi Roth, USC QB coach

also if you'd like to see our QB coach during game day and if you'd like a good laugh.....see the youtube clip of Yogi 'mic'd up' The realist Trojan fans have had a lot of fun with this ever since it showed up on youtube...

Yogi in action

Without a real OC, USC will not be able to have a championship offense, the defense constantly plays a soft zone d when they have the athletes to do so much more. We have not found a suitable replacement for Ed Orgeron either.

The main thing is our piss poor OC and lack of QB coach.

I urge you guys to at least check out Yogi's resume.

Hell check out all of our coaches resumes, it's all on USC's official website. Most of them have never coached anywhere except at USC under Pete Carroll.

Soviet Union, you act as if no other school is burdened by questionable coordinators or position coaches. The fact is, the proven guys largely end up in the NFL. Successful college head coaches are a different breed, but the nuts and bolts guys go as far as they can, and if that's college, then they probably aren't the best of the best.

USC is "suffering" the same as everyone else without having to deal with lesser athletes. Cry me a river.

Norm Chow would NOT have left if Pete hadn't pushed him out the door. He'd still be here to this day, he's never taken a head coaching job.

He could've replaced guys like Orgeron with other talented coaches, he chose to surround himself by yes men.

AustinBadger asked me directly, so don't take my post out of context, thanks.

When the computer polls shake out at the end of the year it will be USC and tOSU in the top two spots with one loss each. Those computer geeks have yet to figure out that both the Big Ten and PAC Ten suck.
