Who in the world is this no. 3 guy????

I mean, they're saying it's Hamilton, but man, this guy's playing on another level. Good hustle, quick hands, playing defense, making smart decisions... Honestly don't think I've seen a guy come that far and get that much better in a single off-season!

I will say that based on this game, I trust our freshmen more in crunch time than our upper classmen (juniors/seniors). TT and Joseph play smart and under control, TT just needs to shoot better at the stripe, obviously.

Honestly I wasn't thinking about the points when I posted this. Yes, he scored, but we've always known he can score. The thing that impressed me was his hustle, his play on defense and the fact that he really seemed to let the offensive game come to him.

How many times last night did he have a hand on a pass, disrupt something in the halfcourt, come up with a big rebound - he really seems to have committed himself to be a well-rounded player.

I don't think its effects are quantifiable, but Jordan Hamilton missed his entire High School Senior year. He played pick-up ball and then had one All-Star game (Jordan Brand), before coming to UT. Factor in the rust and idiots like Brandon Jennings proclaiming to Jordan that he'd be a Top 10 pick...I wasn't surprised that his freshman year was so inconsistent and, honestly, selfish. Hopefully, he continues this trend that we're seeing of smart basketball and settles in as the team's go-to scorer. He's certainly talented enough.

I'm guessing you recognized Hamilton more in the 2nd half, when he reverted back to some of the bad offensive decision-making he showed last year. He was very impressive on defense, though. As for Thompson, I'm worried that he won't be as effective once teams scout him (i.e. conference play) and force him to his right, as he is reluctant to use his off hand. Overall, though, great win last night.

Yeah Hamilton had that stealth mode working for most of the 2nd half, but did hit a big shot late. I think the pace of the game wore the guys down and there was a lot less movement without the ball and a lot more standing around on offense in the 2nd half.
