Who gives underclassmen advice about NBA?

Was wondering who is telling these guys to leave school so early? Hopefully I am wrong, but I am not sure any of our guys leaving early are ready for NBA, I guess they plan on doing most of their development in NBA and not in college...maybe we should recruit less "high profile" players who will stick around 3-4 years, so we might actually have a team one year, instead if wondering what could have been if these kids would have stuck around. Why recruit kids who are going to play one year, then leave?

That's the most I've laughed reading this board in a while.

Honestly, I think the players have a lot more say in whether they leave early or not. They might not have been Academic All Americans, but they have the intelligence to know what's best for them at the moment.

When you consider that getting signed by an NBA team, even to a developmental-type contract, is still paying more than most doctors and lawyers make, it makes the decision easier.

Even a guy like Maurice Evans, who probably never even opened a textbook in his final Jr. semester at UT, has had better luck as a free agent journeyman in the NBA than I'll ever get with my degree. It's far easier to get "developed" as a player outside of the NCAA than it is inside the organization.

NBA players peak so young (MJ averaged 32, 8, and 8 when he was 25) that it doesn't make sense to limit yourself to a college campus if you know you could be a role player on a professional team. No matter how minor that role might be.
