There is a lot to be said for what one can learn living abroad and immersing oneself in another culture. If you fit better somewhere else, join and adapt. Sorry she objects to my whiteness. I was born that way and it works well for me except on the few days I neglected to use sunscreen. I know a lot of white people and I'm not bluffing when I say some of my best friends are white.
