Darius White calles UT coaches
Fort Worth Dunbar wide receiver Darius White appeared to have Texas fading on his list recently, but Orangebloods.com has confirmed a recent phone call from White to the UT staff.

Man this kid would do really well here. Great QB to throw to him over the next 4 years in Gilbert. Great OL to block to allow the QB to throw. All signs pointing towards the Big 12 being a passing league for the next few seasons.

This is great news. I just hope it wasn't to notify them that he was making his choice to go to another school.

for the life of me, i just can't understand why this relationship isn't stronger. perfect fit. it would be different if white had grown up with another favorite team, had family members that had attended another school, etc.

It is encouraging if he did call the coaches. I don't know how it is today but in the 60s if a recruit was going to go to a school he would call the coaches on the phone. If he wasn't going to the school he would send them a telegram.

I guess that is a better sign than I thought then. Without a call from Texas White makes the call himself. That must be a good thing.

Coaches are limited in the periods of time they may contact a recruit. The number of contacts and methods that can be used are also controlled.

White has always had us on his list. In choosing a school he will make a decision that will affect ihis entire life. He just wants to explore all his options. So nobady has screwd the pooch.
