Whistler

It's been a few years since I went, but I did ski there several times. In my opinion, the best skiing anywhere. The only drawback is that from Texas, it's a long trip to get there. You probably know the basics, but there are two connected mountains. Generally, while you can ski on both during the same day, it's more efficient to pick one and go with it for a day. They are both big. Lots of ski in/out places to stay, lots of good restaurants. The exchange rate is not good now, compared to when we were going.

The cool thing about Whistler is that it gets lots of snow because of its location, even though it's not at elevation. Instead of skiing from 11k to 8k like most places, you're skiing from about 6k to 2k. Good to have that air!

Oh, also, if you catch the season right, there are thousands of bald eagles everywhere. The first couple you see, you get all excited. Later, they are just sitting in all the trees. Again, pretty cool.

you will get the best skiing in north america and you will eat/drink every day at the Longhorn Saloon. nothing better..

One of my favorite places that I have skiiied. The Longhorn Saloon is a great place to eat and drink.

Ah Carambas is a great Italian restaurant in Whistler village.
The restaurant at the Chateu is also great.
If you want to sample some of the Candian weed, go to the Grocery store in the main square and you will see 20-30 people with the goods on display in glass jars.
