Wilcoxon, K. Robinson, R. Carter...these guys could be surprises this season. Will anyone be a force that we haven't seen on the field before?

If he gets his chance to actually see the field, i think James Kirkendoll could really surprise alot of ya'll. I know he was highly recruited, but from what i saw of him in high school against very high level competition (Lufkin, A&M Consol, Leander, Pflugerville) he can make huge plays at any time in the game whether it be through his return ability, or him making a play in the passing game.

Kirkendoll is not a RS-Frosh in '08. He's a Sophomore.

I think Carter will be a major player for us someday, but how is he realistically going to make an impact in '08 behind Orakpo, Lewis, Jones, Acho, and Melton?

The answers to the question are Williams on offense and Robinson on defense, with Fozzy as an honorable mention.

Based on what I have read about him, I will say: Malcom Williams

Based on what I saw from his HS videos, I think Blaine Irby has the potential to be an absolute stud at TE. And with Finley being gone, he should have a chance to step up & contribute significantly this year.

As far as RS FR. to step up big, I too am counting on Wilcoxon-DT, because if he does not, then the 2 true freshmen at DT will have too, and I would prefer that not to happen. Fozzy-RB, Carter-DE and Scott- DB would be my next choices.

Just curious, but why is everyone so high on Fozzy? I haven't seen him at UT but based on his HS videos I don't see him having a Noel Devine impact, maybe a marginal impact at best. But like I said, I don't know much about him, please explain to me why so many of you think he will have a big year.

In HS he was elusive. If he can translate that to the next level, he gives you a long gain threat in the backfield. Opens up receivers, with LB's watching the LOS. First, he has to get a forty+ yard gain, to get the attention necessary to open up the offense. We await.
