Which recruit(s) have a chance to start next year?

prob one of the kickers and the transfers. The other positions have some semblance of depth (especially DBs, DEs, LBs, QB, and RB), so unlikely to see a starter there. DT and WR depth is thin.

QB
both c. brewer and j. overstreet need to redshirt.

RB
don't see j. gray being named starter unless m. brown or j. bergeron get hurt again. he will definitely play.

WR
penciling in j. shipley and m. davis as starters. if m. goodwin is back, he would likely be a starter as well. if he is running track, then, we may see one of the freshman play/start probably at the slot (k. sanders or d. johnson?). if m. davis continues to be inconsistent, then maybe c. jones or m. johnson could see significant playing time if j. harris isn't healthy again.

OL
D. hawkins should start from day one. Not sure C. Riser, K. Estelle, or C. Hughes are going to be ready.

DL
B. Moore should start from day one. given our lack of depth at DT (and graduation of Kheeston Randall), we may have to have one of the frosh play here as well; my money is on Malcolm Brown.

LB
our starters will probably be Jordan Hicks, Stevie Edmonds, and either Kendall Thompson or Demarco Cobbs. Tevin Jackson and Aaron Benson will be chomping at the bit to play as well. We'll see if Jinkens or Tim Cole can find some time to get on the field--unlikely as starters unless there are injuries.

DBs
We've got Byndom and Diggs on the corners with Adrian Phillips/AJ White/Kenny Vacarro as safeties/nickel backs. Who knows if Sheroid Evans or Josh Turner will step up? But given his physical presence, maybe Adrian Colbert could see some playing time (duke thomas and bryson echols seem like clones of the guys we already have playing).

enough said. you hit every one i was thinking and every position that we will be loosing starters.

Well said tamster, I'll just add these comments;

QB - I agree, they need to redshirt, let's hope Ash/McCoy make that possible
WR - I think Kendall Sanders and Caleb Jones will really push the returning guys and they better step up.
DT - I think Malcolm Brown has as good or better chance to earn a starting job as Brandon Moore, and along with Boyette they should provide a real push for the returning guys.

All in all the future looks bright!
