Which is worse in terms of on-field performance?

The Route 66 loss to UCLA in football or the giving up 31 in baseball.

For me being an avid fan of both sports, I was hurt more by the UCLA game loss because each game in football means more. However, in terms of pure sucktitude I think I'll go with the baseball teams performance. I've never seen 31 points given up even in Little league.

I'd have to go with the UCLA game, one because I was in the stands that day and two because football is such a high profile sport. The 31 flavors game is an embarrasment to be sure but outside of the Big 12 and college baseball junkies no one really knows or cares. Plus in baseball there is always a chance for redemption the next series or in postseason play.

Rout 66 was the next season, only 3 games after Texas had beaten the Huskers in the Big XII title game.

Texas reached a ranking of #11, only to lose to an unranked UCLA by 63 points, in Austin.

I remember the next day, Sunday morning, on CBS, I don't recall if it was Bob Scheiffer in his sign off segment or on the "Winnebago" guy who traveled around and reported on local stuff --- BUT, CBS even reported on the loss as a "don't take the rankings too seriously, or worry about the odds, or something like that."

Yeah, Rout 66 was much bigger.

Rout 66 was much worse.

Granted the loss on Friday was ugly, but it is not on ESPN, it is not on the nightly new in Houston or Dallas and will be forgotten after the season

Mizzou game was a fluke. Wind aided the numbers of runs with winds blowing around 40 MPH.

Didn't Mizzou hit like 8 HR's ? With many others balls going to, or off, the walls ?

UCLA was much worse.

We also got 12 runs off one of the to pitchers in the nation, some of which was wind aided.

UCLA loss was worse and I was in there in person to witness
