If we want our political representatives to behave better (or at the very least, hide their stupidity better) then your point is correct. It's not any good to lambaste one side of the aisle while overlooking similar behavior from the other.
Yep, and ultimately I blame the voters. She shouldn't have behaved like that, but if they want to elect a trashy skank who doesn't do her job, that's on them. And of course, she won her primary after that whole incident happened and will probably win the general election.
And of course, Eric Swalwell banged a Chinese spy and also doesn't do his job, but he only gets token Republican opposition. He's in a D+22 district, so we have a pretty good idea of how that is going to turn out.

He isn't running the government. That's for sure. A President hasn't been in control of the Federal apparatus since FDR. He created and ran a monstrosity that then has run itself ever since. That is why we got JFK and RFK assassinations, Nixon's removal, increased spending and deficits under Reagan and Bush 1, forever wars during Clinton and Bush 2, and lawfare to ruin Trump. Also see all the lies, theft, and totalitarianism in response to covid.

Swalwell had a quote from Shapiro to scrutinize, but he clearly hasn't listened to his show and knows very little about his beliefs or the rationales for them. But Shapiro knows Swalwell very well. That made it possible for Shapiro to very easily humiliate him. And he didn't have to act like a jerk. Just a little humour and a ridiculously fast-moving brain.

The other amazing thing are interviews with citizens who say Biden is mentally incompetent to be POTUS, but follow up saying between Trump and Biden they would vote Biden.

What you, ii’s and 67 are saying is on point with my astonished belief that no matter the degree of mental incapacitation Biden demonstrates he will continue to get the votes from ‘never’ Trumpers, no matter the lunacy in their rationalization. More astonishing imo are the enormous numbers of those people, couple them with a few million well placed migrant votes and Trump is toast.
