Where's the best sushi in Austin?

I've eaten at Benihana's and it's pretty good. Wondering if there is any better in Austin?------------------

I spent a good part of my 12 years in Austin looking for the best Sushi there. IMHO, it is without a doubt Mushashino.

Mushashino is located on the west feeder of MoPac below Anderson/Steck, under China Town restaurant. There is a huge wait at times, but it's totally worth it.

Go there. I'd be interested in hearing what you think.

BTW if you like sitting at sushi bars, they have a good one. It's small, but the chefs are nice and they love it when you just tell them to give you whatever is fresh.

Agree 100%....Musashino is excellent...if you actually like Benihana's sushi, you will really enjoy Musashino...be warned though, it is often crowded

If you want to go, Mushashino will not do it. Best bet after them is the new place in Gateway called Sushi Sake.

I may be only 19, but I'm cultured. Best I have had since fuji closed... is kyoto (2) in north austin. Gotta love anago. um that warm eel just sooths the soul!
