Without a doubt, the most glaring stat is our pass defense. Good thing their are not many passing QB's in the Big 12

Your going to give up yards to primarily passing teams. I do expect the better upcoming teams to put up yards. I'm encouraged by the efficiency rank and by the, somewhat imagined, improvement trend.

Forget Pass Defense and look at Pass Efficiency Defense to get a better understanding of how our defense is actually playing against the pass.

Quick question: did the AR touchdown off Chile's fumble count against our scoring defense stats? Doesn't seem like it should since our defense wasn't even on the field...

If not, our scoring defense should actually be at 9.0 pts per game...

News flash. We have a bunch of freshman in the secondary that are gonna make some mistakes. Get use to it.

News flash #2. Our defense is giving up less than 10 points a game.

If you don't like it, I suggest you go Aggie. Their pass defense is fifth in the country.

Scoring offense and scoring defense are the only stats that matter, and we are #6 in both.

UT is weak at run blocking and coverage, but very strong in passing and in the box on defense.

WRT running, the lack of a TE seems to be hurting our ability to run outside (maybe it's something else, but that leaps to mind).

WRT the secondary...well, you know. They are rapidly improving.

The pass defense has been improving. The key will be Thomas and Gideon's continued improvement. I thought both guys played their best game on Saturday and seemed to just react instead of just thinking and reacting.

Aaron Williams and Curtis Brown are starting to come on. Chykie is proving his recruiting ranking and keeps getting better every game, he's our best corner right now.

Beasley needs to play a little more physically. He's been passed up by both Palmer and Chykie and Williams is going to start pushing him for time at nickel back pretty soon.

I still don't understand Palmer starting. He NEVER turns to look at the ball even with the entire stadium and both sidelines yelling "ball! ball! ball!'

News flash: When you're winning by 30+ in the 1st half - teams tend to throw the ball. Plus we have been playing teams that like to pass anyway.
