Where to watch in Brenham?

I will be in La Grange Saturday morning for a ceremony at Monument Hill State Park ( Meir Expedition ) and then on to Brenham. Where do LongHorns go to watch games and FOCUS (Bill in Sinton!)?
BTW, Monument Hill State Park is also home of the remnants of the first commercial brewery in Texas----"Bluff Beer"!

The Longhorn is a great place to eat and chill but I've never watched a game there. It's a little upscale and pricy but worth it. I'm not sure if you'll find much of a Longhorn crowd there, but most of the folks that hang there are good people. What's the story on the thing in La Grange? My Great X3 Uncle was William A. A. "Bigfoot" Wallace, one of the first Texas Rangers and a survivor of the Meir Expedition. Enjoy you time in the W.C. and Hook 'Em Horns.

2far... Monument Hill State Park--- Bigfoot's name , along with the other participants, is on the monument and those who died in the initial battle and those who were shot as a result of a black bean lottery are buried there. Read up on the Somervelle and Mier Expeidtion--- little known Texas history.

Bigfoot is a Texas legend!

Bigfoot is indeed a Texas legend and I am very proud to be related to him. He came to Texas because he had family killed at both Goliad and the Alamo. In case you didn't know, he is buried on Heroes Hill at the Texas State Cemetery, right next to SFA, and about 50 ft. from Tom Landry. Also, oddly enough, the namesake of my hometown, Dr. Richard Fox Brenham, was a casualty of the black bean incident. Thanks for the heads up on the stuff at Monument Hill. I've always wanted to check it out, but never had any free time when I have been in the area.

Make the time. It has one of the most beautiful views in the state. The remains of the brewery are pretty cool too.

2far---William “Bigfoot” Wallace described the men gathered in San Antonio in preparation to invade Mexico as”… a motley,mixed-up crowd---broken down and on the wrong side of the fence—left out in the cold: renegades and refugees from justice that had left their country for their country’s good; adventurers of all sorts, ready for anything that afforded a reasonable prospect of excitement or plunder. Dare-devils they were all, and afraid of nothing under the sun ( except a due-bill or bailiff ) ….”

Very unique and interesting place. Had a great time, but man that trail wore my *** out. I had no idea that the landscape was gonna be so varied on the hiking trail. I had a hip replacement 9 months ago, so it took a little bit of a toll on me. It was freaking hot too. But we had a great time and had a chance to hit Prause's Market for BBQ before heading out there.

2far....Good luck with that hip. I had knee replacement in Feb. Last year I rode my bike up that hiil from over the river! Good Q on the square!
