Let's say you are one of the blessed be that are granted a golden ticket to this years BCS CG. Wheels down about 10am Thursday morning. You're looking for a place where you can get into game mode...

Where do you go? What do you do first?

I don't think there were many great places to party when we were there last time, but I will say we ate at two great restaraunts- Jerry's Famous Deli and the Burger Continental.

The Yardhouse, 330 East Colorado Blvd. All the great California microbrew beers on tap. It's a gorgeous 30-minute walk to The Rose Bowl. Find me after the game and I'll buy you a Championship beer.

Gotta head to Hollywood. Nothing going on in Pasadena.

In 2006, we did the Mondrian Hotel party (espn was there). Asia DeCuba restaurant was the bomb. Headed over to Koi for a little star watching (chris fowler, tia leoni and the americas next top models cast was there).

Sure it sounds superficial and dorky for two 40+ year old married men trying to act like an LA wannabes, but when in Rome.........

Planning on a repeat performance this year.

Can't go wrong in the Hills.

if you are into the celebrity watching thing, have breakfast at Nate and Al in BH.

Basically, every jewish celebrity over 60 is there every morning. Larry King is almost guaranteed.

And the food is off the charts...if you like deli.

no offense bigwill, but i will take the supermodel wannabe crowd over larry king and bette midler anyday...

I just confirmed that Lucky Baldwins (in Pasadena) is going to extend their annual Christmas Beers festival through January 7, 2010. 'Over 40 taps of the best Winter Warmers and Belgian X-Mas Ales available in Southern California.'

I hear the cast from The Wizards of Waverly Place hang there so you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone, celeb watchers!

One more vote for super models. I live in the Bellaire area of Houston. I can't swing a dead cat without hitting a sixty year old Jew.

That sounded much more politically incorrect than I intended.

Partying in Pasadena in '05 was like partying in Arlington two weeks ago - not that many places, and every single one was so packed you couldn't get inside, much less get a beer.

Stay in LA and find a Horns party somewhere, you'll be glad you did...
