Where to get a few logs of Hickory or Mesquite?

For my grill. I don't want a whole mess of wood. Maybe 15 logs of either hickory or mesquite or less to use for my grill. I live in SW Austin. Been to a few places and no dice.

I posted a similar question on horn depot a little while back (before there was rusty's grill):The Link

I've never gotten mesquite, since I was looking for a smoker instead of a grill. You can always find everything at the more expensive places like BBQ Galore, which is not terrible if you only need a little. Or you can try HEB or Academy and hope they have what you want.

There's a place on Old Bee Caves Rd just a couple of blocks north of 71/290. Old Bee Caves Rd is a couple blocks east of the Y. They have had both in the past and you can buy by the log or more.

10lb (20?) bag of either available at Academy on Brodie. There are 13-15 logs of forearm-size (look at those FOREARMS!) ... I usually take a small hatchet and split them at least once, if not twice, to get a size proper for my smoker. What I don't use just gets stacked under the grill - very manageable. I think a bag is like $8.

Just about all you need to know (unless you can harvest your own & wait @ least 6 months...).

Oak Hill; sign is on the R if you're heading OUT of town, just before the Y split.
