Where is our pass rush?

The OSU line is pretty good. Wait for the adjustments, Muschamp will figure out a way to get to him.

Cheers!! glug glug

Haven't really been blitzing. Plus he is more mobile than OU's and Miizouri's QB. Although one he escapes the pocket he hasn't really done much.

I have to imagine we'll blitz more in the second half. DLine is not getting to Robinson very quickly at all. But really....everything I say is done under the fact that OSU is getting the ball with ridiculous field position.

It's a work in progress. Coach Champ is in his first season of a long stay at Texas!, building a legendary defense that will carry over for years to come.

I was more concerned how they blew us off the line of scrimmage most of the day. The running back is way too good to not get some penetration. Roy Miller only had 2 tackles and I don't remember him getting any pressure all day.

There never was an intention by Muschamp to blitz and play to a strength of Robinson. They relied on the front four to get through the blatant and copious holds of their O line to get pressure. They mixed blitz in sometimes but it was never something to be used a lot.

This was covered on the radio yesterday and alluded to in other places. I am tired of hearing the catch phrase "High Octane Offense".

It looked to me like they were playing nickel and only rushing 4 the whole game. I don't hardly remember any blitzes, and it looked like only 2 linebackers on the field the whole game. It looked like the strategy was to contain Dez Bryant and take their chances elsewhere.

In a post game radio interview Muschamp said what the above poster said about Dez and the plan to contain him.

Did anyone else notice that we got good pressure, and even a sack or two, against TCU when we ran a basic loop around stunt with Ossai. The DT would jam into the G and T on that side, and Ossai would loop around him and rush up the middle--beating a slow and confused C, or come in not blocked at all. This is just basic DL stunting, but it works well with super-fast Ossai. This is also a stunt that has often given our OL fits over the past 10 or more years. I hope we see a lot more of this--when we're on defense that is...
