Where is Colt in the Heisman talk?!

This may have been posted before, but why the hell is Colt not getting any Heisman love?! Obviously, to us Longhorn faithful, we know Colt has always been this caliber of a player. It just took a more seasoned O-Line to get him back. However, even with that disadvantage, he still managed to utilize his other threat (legs) into another decent season. Seriously, 44 of 58, 7 TDs/1 INT, and decent ground stats.. I don't understand it! Ya, his yardage may be a little low, and when you divide his yardage by completion it's a little low.. but I think the kid deserves it. If he keeps this production up, and isn't invited to New York at the end of the season, somebody is gettin' a grade A *** whoopin'!

Colt got some Heisman talk early on last year and burned some people.

He's also faced no real opponents so far.

I imagine the media will take more of a wait & see approach this time around.

Haha, the original post is a joke... who cares about the Heisman, it's not that important. We just need more wins and everything will take care of itself

eh, this year it would be too hard and futile to push this envelope too much. There are too many QBs getting more press on other Big 12 teams. I think he will be a favorite heading into next season. Until then I will be happy if he stays in the pocket just a little longer before bailing out. Other than that, carry on Colt.

I think he'll get Heisman talk the week leading to the OU game provided we are 5-0. This is how the media works. If he fails they can forget him. If he triumphs then let the hype begin.

Daniels to lose this year. Texas can be the spoiler by beating Mizzou and making Daniels look hopeless.

Colt's year will be next year provided USC doesn't find another pro running back.

Colt is not in the running. He doesn't play for USC or tOSU. He's not a candidate unless ESPN says he's a candidate.

Three weeks in October make the difference for both Colt and the team.

At CU, OU in the Cotton Bowl, Mizzou at home. Pretty simple really - it will all be decided on the field.

About midway through the 4th qtr when we are up by 2 touchdowns over OU and Brent Mussenfussenberger declares Colt the "Gunslinger" MCcoy the front runner, then and only then will we have a clue.

if you're talking all time, Oklahoma isn't 1 or 1A, they weren't a national elite before the modern era began (about the time of Wilkinson)

USC is #1, Notre Dame and Alabama could make a claim. Michigan hasn't done enough in the modern era to be a #1 all time candidate.
