Did Mike Young and John Zapp sell the business to a VC group? I think I heard that national locations were in order, soon, for Chuy's. The one they put in Tustin, CA several years back didn't make it.

That one building where it was in Arlington has been many things. I am surprised as well because the area by The Parks on South Cooper is always busy, and Chuy's was busy there as well.
It really is just mediocre food. It does remind me of normal chain restaurant food though, so maybe that is the route they should go.

My wife said it's opening today or tomorrow.

I hope they put Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom on the menu like the one up north. The one on Barton Springs only has it as a special once a week.

If indeed they intentionally mispell Elvis's name, you can bet I won't ever eat there again. I will flat out refuse. That is one of the dumbest most disrespectful things I have heard in a long time.

Oh yea, I am an Elvis freak.

MilkmanDan, sorry I misread that post. Now I get it, and then they shouldn't use Elvis as a theme. Elvis's likeness is still owned by the estate corret? Which if I remember correctly was sold not that long ago.
Elvis's likeness is sold to be made and put on EVERYTHING.

went yesterday around 5 and the wait was already over an hour. certainly had that circle C vibe thing going on. we left and went elsewhere. if for whatever reason we decide to go to a chuys, it'll be on barton springs.
