What do you use. Looking for good protein powder and stuff to mix with it so it tastes excellent. Low carb would be a benefit and also hoping the ingredients don't equate to $10 a pop. Thoughts/suggestions?
I usually use a mix of the following ingredients (not necessarily all together, obviously)
Frozen fruit (cherries, raspberries, blueberries)
Skim milk
Yogurt (either Light n Fit or Fage)
2% or skim cottage
natty peanut butter or almond butter
cinnamon
I add some sorbet or sherbet as well from time to time to jazz it up. This adds to your sugar and carbs but you can burn that off as trade off for the yummy factor.
A thing you can do is doctor up the ice cubes you will use and flavor them. Maybe some lemon or lime in the water before they freeze for a citrus zing.
