What's the best way to make a simple map?

I need to make a map for out-of-towners to help them get around Houston the weekend of my brother's wedding. What website/software should I use?

I'm familiar with mapquest/expedia, but I really don't want it in their format. I want it much simpler where I would draw the map and add comments about exits, etc.

I would suggest using trip planner in mapquest. That gives the exits and turn info, plus you have a map.

Try Google's latest venture. VERY cool technology that I think that they will eventually mesh with their brand new Google Maps service.

I can't believe an excess of invitations is really a problem for you.

I use Paint, it always works for me

I usually do a screen capture of whatever map I want from Yahoo Maps, Mapquest, etc. Then I paste it into PowerPoint and I just trace the roads that I want over the picture. When I am done I delete the picture.
