What's a good protein powder for weightloss?

depends on what you want to spend.

the best selling brand for a couple of years now is Optimum Whey. I think they are calling it Gold Optimum now, but you can find it everywhere except GNC (that is a good thing). It is a mixture of whey isolate and other blends. they have many flavors, but stick with chocolate, banana or vanilla to begin wth. some of their other flavors can be a bit strong (strawberry, cookies and cream). it is about $20 for the 2lb bottle. Good price for the quality. it has 0-2 carbs and still taste good.

if you have a bit more money then you want to get 100% whey isolate. there are several good brands, but Isopure is the industry leader. it will run about $70 - $80 for the 5lb bottle. top of the line, no carbs.

Finally gonna seduce that lady in your condo huh?

gnc isn't bad, but they are now concentrating so hard on their own brands, they don't care some of the best brands on the market. they may actually carry isopure and optimum, but my experience with them would say the do not. last time i was in there they were pushing their brand and metrx (cassein protein).... hello 1994.

If you're trying to lose weight do not add protein power to your diet. You are trying to burn off the stored energy reserves you already have. Now eating protein rich foods, veggies, and fruit over fat and carbs is a good thing. But skip the supplements.

Yeah, that's pretty back-asswards. "I want to lose weight, so what's the best thing I can add to my diet to add in extra calories?"

the protein powder would serve as a meal replacement. so no extra calories. quite a few less actually...

i pour it into cold water and down it. that's dinner.

Try Syntha-6. It has the lowest calorie count. I would use it in a shake in the morning for breakfast or immediately after working out. I'm always counting calories and you have to be careful with protien.
