Whatever Happened to?

It's the off season. The boards are largely random news and anemic topics. Threads dominated and bullied by Texas Taps. Recently I was thinking about some of the posters that used to be here - ones that had great insight or intell on our programs / teams, some that were funny as hell and some that were random posters that were going along with the topics or times. Some wandered off to OB, BC, Shaggy, Horns 247 or elsewhere. We have lost a few Mihm-Rules comes to mind... I know there are others.

In no particular order, here are some HF posters I thought of and a few I remembered by checking the Archives Threads.

SpiderAg
Dances with Possums
TPE (the peoples elbow)
SRR 50
Gardere Owns ou (GOO)
Scipio
Macanudo
Texas Pete
JC Denton
Bevo Stevo
Longhorn Lawyer
zork
Bevoette
Sii
Jive Turkey
Ghost of Tom Joad
Mr. Wizard
WhooTexas
Mandingo (think I saw him back recently)
Wherzwaldo
Campus Loopy

Can you add to the list?

LHC - Bro, you and many other good posters are alive and still posting here... I just thought of some that have strayed from the reservation.

Barking Carnival has some contributors with similar names like Scipio Tex, jc25 and srr50. I'm sure some have gone elsewhere with new handles to escape their sordid pasts.

zork is still here and Macanudo stops by once in a blue moon.

One other name that I have noticed missing is SL Xpress.

This thread got me thinking all the way back to the Austin 360 days. I remember a rather cantankerous fellow called Reesetex that was known to stir things up on that board. Didn't even know that he passed away a few years ago. RIP

The mention of Reesetex from the Austin 360 board reminded me of Gandolf, Harryscotsman, megadittos and EyesOfTexas.

I posted for years on Austin 360 as mikedog. I observed Hornfans for a long time before posting here.

GOO was a funny poster - I pm' d him some back in the day. He was a student at Austin Community College if I recall. I too remember seeing him on TV during a home game. Anyone know the whereabouts of said GOO?

I'm pretty sure TPE got himself uber-banned because right at the same time he stopped posting all his threads disappeared from the Classics.

TPE was not banned.

He told us he was starting a new job and moving to the next phase of his life and he would not have time to moderate or post.

Solo Rio? He is retired and traveling the world with his lovely new bride

Hot Air? Heard he is now racing boats and probably still racing ballons

Sugar Land Express?

Sorry to hear about Reecetex. He was a classic and knew his stuff. The legend of the a$$ie war hymn was classic T day reading.

Phoenix horn - RIP

grgcpa - getting older, but rarely misses a game or a free drink

woowoo Worster identified several long time posters that I remember - they are all VERY worthy of this list, especially:

Huckleberry
Prodigal Horn
Bookman
HenryGandorf
scally

Scally and Henry were both classic !

Longhorn Catholic - you sir, will be remembered as a faithful, reverent and without sin poster and perhaps at this time, our poster most in need of a group hug from the posters on these boards

Anyone else sing this song whenever they see the thread title?

"Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV?"
