Was there ever any official announcement about her departure?
The reason she crossed my mind is because Longhorn football just received a verbal commitment from offensive lineman, Ronnie Major, of Huntsville, TX. Wonder if there's are relation there.
I don't remember an official announcement of her leaving the team, but there must have been one ,or something like it. It was well known she had left. She had a lot of potential. She actually looked---to me--- like a more skilled basketball player than Nneka in their freshman year. Not as great an athlete, but a more skilled player and far better shooter. When she played, she looked good; but the coaches gave her very very few minutes. Perhaps it was an attitude problem. When Karen Aston arrived, Major didn't seem to have much interest in sticking around. Maybe she was just tired of basketball; I don't remember any announcement of her transferring to another school. That's usually routine when a player leaves. Actually, I have the same question about a couple of other U.T. players---that girl from Canada and Tiffany Moore, who had the terrible allergy problems. Suddenly they were just gone, and I never saw any kind of official statement. I assume Moore quit for medical reasons, but if there was an official announcement or press release, I never saw one.
