The last time the dow was this low was 12 years ago. I was a freshman in high school.

Also, do you have a guess as far as the bottom? I thought the psychological barrier of 7k wouldnt be crossed. I was wrong.....

schemeing to get the Longhorn fondation to move my other 4 seats across the stadium so I would have 8 overlapping seats on two rows. You have to wait for REALLY ****** seasons to get them to work that kind of magic for you. ;-)

I remember when some crazy nut predicted the DJIA would reach 5,000 someday.

That was back in 1975 or 80 when it was stumblin' along around 1,000.

Oh, in 1997? I was retiring then.

After what seemed like a lifetime, I graduated from a large state university in Austin, TX. Then I hit these countries:

England
Spain
France
Switzerland
(France again)
Austria
Germany
Denmark
Norway
Sweden
Finland
Russia
(Finland, Sweden, Denmark again)
Israel
Turkey
Greece
Italy
Vatican City (technically not Italy)
(Italy again

)
(Germany again to change trains)
Holland/The Netherlands
(England again)
(the United States again)

Everybody and their dog was starting to talk about "dot coms".

66-3.

And I turned 21 that year. I was going to get back together with my high school sweetheart until she told me she had herpes.

She did go to SWT.

1996 was the first year I made really good money and had substantial money in the bank.

I invested $10K in a company called Cisco.

Currently looking for a company to invest another $10K in, will let you know when I find one.

Graduated HS in 1997. So, in the spring of 97 I was doing all the stupid **** high school seniors do, then in the fall I was doing all the stupid **** college freshman do
