What was the best item on Mueller's menu?

this board doesn't get much activity. i think it can hold another muellers thread.

i went there a ton but obviously not enough.

so what do you think muellers made the best? not necessarily the best in the state but if you go there you have to have the ..........................?

i say that b/c depending on their meat supplier, their menu changed.

personally the pork chop was my favorite. the last few months i went, i don't even remember seeing the chop there even if i got there before 11:30am. i will miss their chop. the best chop i have had is at kreuz but muellers was my 2nd favorite. even better than coopers.
 
a few items that i saw on the menu also but rarely.... T-bone steak, prime rib, and beef ribs.

i had all of those too. excellent. that t-bone was huge. :)
 
beef ribs - by far. sort of a novelty. his dad used to make them in Taylor, and he followed suit. I think John's were better, and always a must have for me
 
pork chop, pork loin, and smoked turkey were all good (in addition to the brisket, obviously), but i don't think any were available towards the end.

green bean casserolle was allsome as well.
 
When I showed up and he had the beef short rib special, I was so happy that I almost wept. It may have been the single best-executed feat of barbecue that I have ever had. I would have been tempted to share a cell with a man nicknamed "Tiny" for the night, if there was the promise of a Meuller's beef short rib in my future.

Of course, I really like cue. And I think I could hold my own in the joint, at least for a night.
 
i love my cue... but i have to say now that the place is closed, some of the brisket at john muellers was overcooked or overfatty. some of the stuff, i hardly recognized as brisket. in fact, i normally ordered the ribs or turkey after a while b/c i thought my heart would stop on site after eating the brisket.

i loved his rub but sometimes i wasn't a fan of the brisket.
 
went to rudys off 360 today for lunch and had the turkey. good stuff.

i like house park but parking can be a *****.
