I don't follow any as I am not a Twit(ererer).

How do you follow somebody? Is there a text message or email sent to your phone or account whenever they type something? If so, doesn't that get annoying as hell? How do the msgs get to you?

You don't have to get push messages from twitter. If you set up an account and follow people, then all of their tweets will be listed in chronological order. So anytime you come back to the home page you can see what you missed.

Most sports figures are annoying to follow because they use it as a way to message their boys. I try and stick mostly to comedians.
