What to do with Leftover Brisket: Make Burgers

Ground up some week old brisket, added it to ground beef, and made some ******* fantastic burgers last night! There was a little sausage in there too, so I said, "why not?"

I don't know if anyone else has ever done this before, but if you haven't, and you happen upon too much brisket in the fridge one day, give it a try.

Hornbud;

Good idea, but I will tell you that brisket sammitches made with leftover brisket are awesome. Really, you should try one next time.

I don't eat meat anymore, but when I did: Chopped brisket and egg breakfast tacos were awesome (discovered them at rudy's one morning), plus chopped beef nachos are good too. (discovered at Uncle Billy's)

BBQ Pizza

Regular pizza crust, a thin layer of sauce, brisket and sausage, colby cheese (as much as you can stand), heat until cheese melted and crust is to your liking.

It has a great consistency and taste when used as the stuffing for flautas, yum I gotta get cooking this weekend.

I've made a brisket breakfast casserole with our leftovers. Brisket, eggs, cheese, plus whatever else we feel like throwing in

Flautas are good. Shredded beef tacos, and chopped with bbq sauce sandwiches are always good.

Next time you're smoking brisket, make an extra one and freeze it. It keeps just fine for months, and then you will always have briskety goodness for making hamburgers. Or enchiladas. Or chile rellenos.

Rough chop into cubes and marinate in the juice from a can of jalapenos. Let it marinate 4 hrs ( pref overnight). Heat up and serve in corn tortillas. You can thank me later.

This post made me go out and buy a brisket and cook it over the weekend. It was a big one at 15 pounds uncooked, there were no leftovers.

My mom used to shred the leftovers. Then start reheating it in a skillet and add dice canned tomatoes. Then deep fry some taco shells.

Kudos to the OP for the Brisket-in-burgers idea. Tried it tonight and it was fantastic. I, for one, would never get sick of brisket for days on end but can't say the same thing for the rest of the family, so the burgers provided the perfect amount of disguise.
