What to do with large plate mirror

We have 2 bathrooms that have rather large plate mirrors in them (or if that is not the right terminology, whatever they are called.) One is about 3'x10' and one is 3'x8'. Since we are repainting the bathrooms, the gf would like to chuck the plate mirrors for some wall-hung mirrors.

What the hell do we do with them? Is it worth it to have our new mirrors cut out of it and just buy frames? Does anyone want to buy mirrors like this?

Cut the glass, and place the mirror in a frame. Instant wall-hung mirrors....

Or just give them to habitat for humanity.

This doesn't really solve your problem but we had the same deal in our bathrooms. We got some moulding at Home Depot, painted it, and glued it directly to the mirror to make a frame. It turned out looking pretty cool.

We thought about taking them down and getting some wall-hung mirrors but the "plate glass" mirrors or whatever they're called were glued directly to the sheetrock and I knew if we ripped them out we'd have to repair, float, texture, paint etc. So we just left it where it was and made a frame around it.

I guess depending on how big the mirror is, this may or may not be an option for you.
