What to do in New Braunfels?

The in-laws are coming to town and want to go to New Braunfels tomorrow. Anyone know of some cool stuff to do aside from floating and Schlitterbahn? Maybe at least a good place to grab a bite to eat?

Go to Gruene and hang out. There's shops and stuff if they like that, but definitely eat at the the Gristmill (http://www.gristmillrestaurant.com/). It's really good and a fun place. You might be able to ask for a table overlooking the river. I usually take exit 191 going South on '35. Take a right on FM 306 and then take a left at the second light. 1st light is common st and the second is hunter rd (I think). Look up Gruene on maps.google.com. Gruene Hall is also there where they have live music.

What Lago said, or if you like fish, go to Clear Spring. The Museum of Texas Music is pretty small but usually has a good exhibit. It's on the square, as is Naegelin's bakery, which is an institution in the AM for kolaches or other baked goodies. If Gruene is too crowded, head over to Saengerhalle, or Tavern on the Gruene.

I would spend a day in Gruene at all the stores, the river, and eat at the Gristmill, and a few beers at Gruene hall. Or just what Lago said.
