He's not taking the whole day to decide. He already knows where he's going. He probably knew before he flew to Austin. Why would one say he's going to decide Aug16 back in late July. I've got not a clue what he decided but I hope he sticks with it either way. He seems like a level headed youngster and would hope he's not making THE announcement just because of a pre-determined date on the calendar
Heard a radio interview from a Washington Sports Radio Show where he keeps bringing up Texas to the reporter who is desparately trying to get him to choose Washington.
I personally think he's feeling bad that he is the one who brought Texas into the mix, and now he's picking UW. Going above and beyond to compliment everything Texas. Doesn't want to draw the wrath of Mack's curse.
I truthfully think he was UT 100% until the spot at UW openeded up. If it happens, it happens - life goes on. Seems like a good kid, so best wishes either way.
seriously.. he has handled everything with class. i think he really was 99% texas at one point, but with location factors and the reality that he could play OL if he were to gain weight (who knows what UW has been telling him)... he is now UW. i wish him all the best where ever he goes.. this is not a mack brown curse type of case.
Time to move on folks. If he's worried about the cost of airline tickets for his mom, he's not coming here. Drive to the University of Washington vs. fly to the University of Texas?
could be a bad day for texas if:
ASJ to UW
Deandre Daniels decommits (being reported now)
Workman, Ruffin, and Green sign (at least 2 of the 3 seem likely now)
... and Charles Jackson to OU...
EDIT: looks like we can cross the last one off the list. looks like CJ is going to announce at the AA game. leaves from for us to get back in on him, should we have an extra ship.
