What Scandal will BO learn about on the news next?

It is a good thing BO is watching or reading so much 'news" otherwise how would he ever have known about Fast and Furious, IRS targeting only conservative groups and now VA deliberately delaying care?
The VA abuse tops them all even as it shows a sick pattern of a POTUS and staff who after nearly 6 years don't seem to know what is going on.

Even WaPo has ended their love affair with BO, for now . And BO will learn about the end of the love fest in his usual manner, This seems a pretty harsh break up by WaPo as they say ' it IS you BO, not us"
He as usual will read the news .

from waPo
"No one was ever fired in the Benghazi mess and the terrorists haven’t been brought to justice. Attorney General Eric Holder didn’t lose his job over Fast and Furious or the attempt to criminalize ordinary journalistic work in the case of national security leaks. As of this writing Eric Shinseki remains secretary of the VA. Aside from the Obamacare mess, the president has never apologized for any of these fiascos. He’s mad, but not ashamed, I suppose.

What are the lessons to be learned here?

The presidency is an executive job. We hire neophytes at our peril.

When there is an atmosphere in which accountability is not stressed you get more scandals and fiascos."

btw yes yes Bush was a horrible pres and all the crap supporters use to try and deflect that is going on now

read the Wapo article. I hope you can figure it out.

Mich
This is about NOW and you realize I am not the one that pointed out BO was a neophyte?
by the way NOW is May21 2014

edit to add
can any of you supporters deny BO or his staff admitted BO learned about those scandals from the news?.

Mich
governing our country is not a tournament or game.
You act like because you think other POTUSes have made mistakes we should NOT mention BO's.

Every single time BO's failures are pointed out you or another supporter rush to mention your opinion of previous Pres.
should we give BO a pass ?
Americans and Mexicans were and are being killed by weapons we sent into Mexico
Conservative groups were denied status and could not participate in the 2010 and 2012 elections
Vets are dying without getting to see a Doc.

These are just the scandals BO says he found out about in the news.
He is accountable no matter how much you and he think he should not be

The only single issue that BO (& MO) seems to give a damn about is racial discrimination. His administration sees it in everything and everywhere. They're obsessed with it..

Did you read any exerts from MO's address to Topeka HS graduating class? It was on the anniversary of Brown vs Topeka, but according to her, things are worse now than they were then. Holder gave a similar speech to some black college's graduating class. It's unbelivable.

Meanwhile, he's seen as totally feckless in foreign affairs and the US is paying for it in loss of prestige.

Mich That quote you posted to criticize is not mine. It is from the WaPo article.

Wow you are really reaching now .Is that the best you can do?
I did not say any "group" could not vote. I said that unlike other groups they could not b] participate
in the elections.
At least Husker actually addresses the issue and admits where there is need for an investigation instead of always trying to deflect from the issues/ lies.

Amazingly I agree with you. There are circumstances where the POTUS should not be completely factual.

The problem for BO should be that he looks out of touch when he says he learns about issues like this from the news. It doesn't appear to bother him.

The problem is that he's NOT learning about things in the news, but he wants people to think that he is, so he can give outraged, vague responses with no actual outcome other than a call to "investigate" and "find out whose *** to kick", as he once said.Take the VA issue - as non-partisan and broad-based a condemnation of government bureaucracy as you can find. And Obama's response was "we'll study this and find out what's going on" - except we already KNOW what's going on. But as far as the adoring public is concerned, he is now on the case, so they can forget about this issue and get back to being outraged.

Do you think this may be one too many scandals that Bo pretended to only learn about it in the news?
Besides being only one of many this scandal touches so many lives. There can't be many who don't have a veteran or someone currently serving.

I don't think this is a scandal. As an army vet myself from the 90's I can attest to the fact the VA has always been an underfunded over-beauracratic organization.

I'm personally disappointed that Shinseki hasn't made demonstrative improvements. I wouldn't be opposed to his firing for not making major changes. Given our decade long war I can only imagine how overwhelmed the VA is these days.

I'm not ready to beat up Obama on this any more than Bush or Clinton or Reagan. The VA has had systemic issues since the 70s. It's political opportunism to try an lay this at any President's feet. Until Congress/Presidents end all wars and fund the VA appropriately this "scandal" will continue for eternity.

I haven't used VA services since I left the military and anyone that is relying on them for survival is setting themselves up for disappointment. It's a little like relying on State services for mental health treatment.

The best course of action for vets is to find a well paying private sector job that offers health benefits. For retired vets, they should have been planning for private health insurance long ago.

I know that's a cynical approach but know that government run hospitals will never attract high performing medical staff just like your local Department of Motor Vehicles will never have a happy high performing clerical staff.

All due respect but when people at VA facilities order their people to LIE and falsify records on length of time to get a medical appointment including something as important as a colonoscopy ( just using that as an example)
and we find VAs all over the country lying and denying medical care
all the while using those faked appointment times as a way of getting a bonus
if that isn't a scandal what is?

That's SOP at the VA, has been for decades IMHO.

The only way to fix it is to abolish it. Give them a better Medicare-like program and rely on private heath carriers for service. Neither side is willing to propose that though.

I remember a friend of the family who had to lie on his VA paperwork in 1997 when he got back from Bosnia with a shattered pelvis. So I blame Clinton, I guess.

Husker is dead on - the only way to fix it is to abolish it. There is no bureaucracy as inherently corrupt as what has become of our government and its agencies. The VA is the prime example. Unless you have dealt with them and specifically, their procurement departments you cannot fathom the depth of ineptitude and complicity. Bids? What a joke. Lowest bider wins? Also a joke.
The system is too large, too overwhelming, and totally self-feeding (sorry can't think of a better way to say it right now). Everything is at the whim of whomever is in the command position at the time. Get a new commander and everything can change, regardless of contractual obligation because the Gov't has the right to break contract on any anniversary, and believe me they will = but not for cost savings = because the new Director/Commander has difference preferences.
I speak only from the Laboratory's perspective but believe me it is within all disciplines. You cannot even begin to estimate the total taxpayer $'s that are wasted.
But it is too entrenched to abolish. Closing bases, i.e. BRAC most recently, is an example of how you simply cannot save money in the system. They closed Brookes City Base (Air Force) but doubled the size of Brook Army Medical, renaming it San Antonio Medical. The movement of testing from Brookes City to Indiana required them to buy all new equipment, no way they would move the equipment from Brooke City Base. Great for the Vendor, ridiculous for the tax payer and typical Gov't thinking.

What's so funny about it all is that when something positive happens it was all because of him and his strong leadership. When something bad happens he doesn't know anything about it so he's shocked and pissed. He's been shocked and pissed for several years now.

He's so easy to read it's pathetic, but the left has their nose so far up his *** they can't see anything.

^^^^ This. And apparently Carney is tired of lying to the press. Now there is a new young guy who looks forward to lying! Lots of money! Great exposure!! Big job at MSNBC waiting in 2 1/2 years!
