What Needs To Occur Tonight?

If we can shelve focusness as a known commodity, anyone have thoughts on the strategic match-up between Texas and A&M tonight? Did Balbay play much at all last tilt between these two teams? I am hopeful Texas can pound it inside and drive and dish to find AJ rather than roll double screens out wide for him to use. The former options give us a better advantage rebounding. I worry about whistles, but the referees let us play versus CU. I do think the Big 12 becomes conscious of who might be on the NCAA tournament bubble. But then again, I loved the X Files too! Anyway, this game is simply huge. Win it, and the Horns are a virtual lock for the NCAA. Lose it, and Texas is right back on the bubble.

Agreed on the win it/lose it aspect. We should beat tech and baylor ... that puts us at worst 20-10 (9-7). Not sure we would even need to win a Big 12 tourny game to get in then. if we lose tonight and finish 19-11 (8-8) we might have to go deep in the tourny to be in for sure.

I know it's only 1 game difference but the committee seems to puts an emphasis on having a winning conference record ... at least that's been the case in the past.
