What needs to happen now...

Dean needs to make a call to Ohio and HRC needs to be on the first charter to Dallas where she can introduce Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee for President on the floor of Reunion arena at noon tomorrow.

She got crushed. She's going to lose Texas and Ohio by at least 10 points.

45 years and half a mile

The calls for her to drop out will start coming from people in the party once she loses Texas

it was set up as her firewall...even though now that things are already tied up there (with Obama just now hitting the state) they have backed away some from that

This is crazy talk.

Obama is ahead by a few delegates and she should drop out of the race?

Fine, she might lose Texas & Ohio, but she might also win both handily. Why just give up and concede the fight?

People should stop projecting their desires to see her downfall with these premature calls for a concession speech.

I've heard analysts already call her for just "moving the goal posts"

if she loses in Texas or Ohio (or both) I think those calls get much louder

I think she will stay in the race till Mar 4. If she loses either OH or TX, I think she should fold up.

She's still a New York senator till 2012 so she has a lot of incentive to not turn the whole Democratic party, let alone country, against her in a desperate bid for the nomination. She could run and win again then. So she has a long political career still ahead of her, no reason to throw her whole reputation into this campaign.

60.

I'm going off the CNN projections, including the SuperDelegates.

Point is, the lead isn't so big as to suggest she need to step down tomorrow or anytime before Texas & Ohio.

I don't see Hillary conceding anything until the Convention. It does not look like either candidate will be able to reach the delegate total needed to win outright on the first ballot.

This will be her only shot to get the nomination. I don't think the party machine will be as enthusiastic to back her for another run in the future. I think the incentive for her to play hardball is pretty large.

No way in hell Clinton drops out. Anything could happen in the next 2 weeks. Obama has made no major strategic errors yet but that doesn't mean he won't. After watching Reggie Bush try to lateral that ball in the Rose Bowl, man... anything is possible.

The debate in Austin should be fun. I'm ready to see Hillary's 2-minute offense.
