What kind of paint should I use on vinyl?

I have these french doors on my patio and the grid over the window that gives it the appearance that there are 15 individual wondows has yellowed. I want to paint the vinyl grid white to match the door. What would be best? The grid is on the outside, exposed to the elements. Thank you!

How pourous is the surface? You may want to scuff it up a bit but not too much so the paint sets better.
