What is your favorite Waterfront restaurant in ATX

Doesn't have to be nice, just one that you really like. I'm going to set the bar low and throw out Ski Shores for their hamburgers! Not a place to take your prom date, but a damn good burger with a heck of a view!

man, i need to hit up ski shores soon. been a while....

We went to Ski Shores last Friday night. My bride had a burger and I had the catfish plate. We ordered an appetizer of fried okra and it could have easily fed 6 people. Food was good and the band playing at lakeside on the shady side of Lake Austin with the opposite bank lit up in fading sunlight is outstanding.

I also like Hula Hut's Shiner Bock fajitas and the "scenery". Mango margs aren't bad either.

Question regarding Dry Creek -- Family friendly or more bar?

Dry Creek - strictly a beer bar. No food, and right now you struggle to even see the lake from the upper deck. Some clown has built an ugly house blocking a good portion of the view.

Been to Dry Creek 2 times but not for the past 8 years. I am one of the few that wasn't impressed and I'm not high maintenance at all.... I know that is enough to vilified on HF but whatever. I can say that I'm glad it is there over million dollar lofts or whatever; I think it is cool but not spending my $ there.

Hula Hut. That place is just great. It has something for everyone.

The only people who don't love it is the counter-culture crowd. You know... people that are too cool to where anything but black.

The Oasis pre-fire. Food is meh, but those huge decks over looking the lake we're amazing. They've done a decent job redoing it, but it will never compare to what it was.

Went to Cafe Blue last week -- had not been there in 2 years. Apparently they have a new owner. I read some reviews about service issues, but we didn't experience any problems. Food was good.
