What is this weed...

And how do I get it out of our yard? We had a few sprigs of this stuff last summer, but it's really starting to come in now. I have never seen it before then, ever.

It has horizontal roots in addition to the normal vertical type, so it seems to spread easily through our St. Augustine. It's about 6-8 inches high. IT has many, many individual stems that break off and make our weed popper pretty ineffective...

Wait until it flowers and take a picture- the leaves look like Evening Primrose, AKA Buttercups.

Whatever it is, it is a pain in my *** in our flower bed. It seems to grow half a foot overnight.

Looks like Verbena but it typically does not grow that fast and would have some purple/lavender flowers on it by now.

Let us know if it flowers.
