What is it about Seinfeld?

It is just about the only thing I DVR. Never get tired of it. Aside from being the best show ever, you don't usually have to follow story lines from one episode to another - makes it a lot more rewatchable.

Some of the last episodes were pretty bad, especially the whole filming of the pilot with the characters interacting with the actors and actresses who play them. But yes, there are plenty that I can watch over and over again. Like the one where Kramer and Newman play Risk, the ones with Keith Hernandez, the Soup Nazi, some of the J. Peterman ones, the Movie, the Airplane, the Keys and subsequent episodes where Kramer goes to L.A. and Jerry and George try to track him down (only ones without Elaine?), and others.

^^^^

You're gonna smoke a turd in hell for that.

Season four was about the peak of television history -- The Bubble Boy, The Contest, Babu getting deported, George and Jerry acting gay, Teri Hatcher's implants?, the daughter's cleavage, George using the handicapped parking spot, The Pick...

It doesn't get any better than that.

Agreed. It never gets old. Add to that the fact that I never saw ONE episode until 1997. Therefore, there are still episodes I've never seen.

It's not for everyone, but it's a top two or three all time in my eyes.

I even thought the latest stuff was awesome.

Seinfeld, Frasier, Friends. Those shows must've dominated the ratings. Some iconic shows.

Tropic of Capricorn is my favorite episode.

"Or maybe that turns you on, Seinfeld ... you and your good-time buddies!"

Del Boca Vista, Phase II
BBO
You have "hand"
Man-hands
Bad envelopes
Yada yada yada
Master of one's domain
I have a house in the Hamptons
8-ball
Jesus fish
Kramer's "hot tub"
Mulva

...the list is endless

All greatness. Seinfeld references still surface in everyday conversation (with cool people), and that is awesome.

PC,

That is a very good response.

I think that part of Seinfeld's luck was in coming around at the right time. I think that, had "All in the Family" come along at the exact same time the internet was taking off (late 90's), we might view it the same way.

P/C, very true.

Just last weekend I invited my parents up here to have dinner with me. They show up at about 3:30. I tell them I wanted to have DINNER, not a late lunch. But, they were ready to eat.

I called my brother and said it was exactly like that Seinfeld episode..."I'm not force-feeding myself a steak at 4 o'clock just to save a few bucks..."
