Looks like a bar or restaurant is being put across the street from Katz, caddy-corner to Opal Divine's on 6th. Looks to have a big covered patio.

Somebody told me that Sandra Bullock bought some buildings on that block. I'm not sure if she was in on this. Any truth to this?

It's been a failure for a number of reasons, not the least of which was ****** food and a location that hadn't yet fully established itself.

The new spot is being re-done by the guys who own Foundation. Primarily a bar concept that serves food vs. restaurant that has a bar. Considering the success rate of the other bars run by that group I would give this place a better than average chance of succeeding, not to mention that area is about to blow up.
