What If?

So... I sit here at my desk with little to no new news concerning our potential recruiting prospects and have to wonder. What if... So and so chose Texas instead of... "X".

Does anyone have updates or even really care where some of the high hoped potential players are today? I can't help but wonder where Daryl Scot is or how some other bigger named recruits are today.

I guess I just need new news because all I am hearing right now is about this Conference expansion vs this Hypothetical Expansion and this Hypothetical super conference.

No need to get into the "what if" game. Most of the players who string UT along then go somewhere else don't generally pan out, and UT seems to do quite well without them.

I'm not one of these "trust Mack" types but, yes, I do trust him where recruiting is concerned. UT hits a lot more than they miss on who they sign, and who they sign seems to be good enough to help keep us in the top ten.

For the record, last I heard, Scott planned on transferring to UCLA, but I never heard if it is a done deal.

I really am not on a quest to find out what would it be like had they come to Texas but more on a what happened to them. Daryl Scott is intriguing because he had the gift of talent and now he is.. well I don't know. I guess its a bit of this is the Mack Brown Curse that has me thinking. The stories like Andre Jones and Romance Taylor are also stories of interest because they had the talent an blew it. There is just not much going on right now and we still have a few months until the team comes back for Summer Workouts. I hate this time of year because there is no football and I need my football fix.

Yeah...after you've played with all of the conference expansion rumors, the off-season sucks. ESPN Classic helps get me through the dog days.

It's times like this that I am grateful to be very much into other sports. I really love soccer and well, there is sort of a big deal coming down the pipeline. Next weekend we have a World Championship of pro teams and then just after that the World Cup. The WC dwarfs all other sports and events so it is very anticipated. That helps get through the summer.
