What Happens with Arch if Ewers Returns?

Arch will stay. The Mannings understood the situation. I think they want Arch to have a full college experience and the chance to develop under Sark.
IF all they wanted was for him to play they would have chosen another school

I think it’s far more likely that Murphy transfers. Arch is here for the long-term I see him as back up next year and then quarterbacking Texas in 25, 26, and maybe 27.
 
Year 1 , Arch red shirts. Year 2 Arch is back up. Year 3 Arch starts. Was and is the plan all along.

Murphy is the likely candidate Although with all the plug and play qb's already in the portal is a power 5 program going to take him on potential ? He may fall in to the same rut.

good point.
about 100 QBs is in the portal and many have stats to boast about. He does have two wins though.
Maybe Murphy will stay
 
But I think Murphy should portal.
He needs to play to build his resume.
As I said before, if Ewers comes back I think Murphy goes to third string next year behind Manning. I am just thinking what's best for Murphy.

Transfer where ? With all the plug and play qb's in the portal ( and more to come) ..Murphy's destination to any power 5 school as anything other than a "project" is going to be quite llimited .
 
If Taylor returns maybe UTSA would be a good landing spot for Murphy, if he wants to transfer that is, which I don’t think he does.
 
With enough QBs in the portal to get drowned by them, doesn't it hurt QB options? Do they only do it if they have heard they have a specific landing spot now?
 
And LongHorns are perfectly happy Arch is a Horn. Hope he is having fun being a college kid and being part of the team. We know he will play and be great when it is his time.:hookem:
 
With the stadium noise decibel level reaching the loudest ever attained in history when Arch comes in to play.
The whole earth would burn if Arch even considered leaving the Horns.

Agree with this. Murphy would draw big bucks if he hits the portal and rightfully so. He has been injured but he has the skill to be phenomenal. Cant see him sitting thru another year.
