What does Julian Assange want?

It's a question I've asked myself. The writer here has some pretty good insight.

Indeed. It boils down to shining light on corruption and conspiracies is the best way to hinder their proliferation. The price Assange has paid for his efforts is a de facto prison term in the Equadorian Embassy in London. In my opinion, the world owes his organization much thanks for presenting things we have a right to know and otherwise would never learn.

I think the aims of Wikileaks is genuine but somewhere along the way they became corrupted. Specifically, they've become a tool of Russia. Juilian Assange even had his own show on RT in 2012 as an example of his close relationship with Russia. It seems that he's more anti-capitalist than anti-corruption now.

Assange may or may not be anti-capitalist. Most probably he favors Socialism. He definitely abhors crony-capitalism as I would hope we all do. He is anti-imperialist and there is a compelling case that America has become an imperialist state.

Traditionally, free speech and plurality of opinions have been a feature of America. In a time before political correctness and media cartel dominance called the shots, we were taught this from 1st grade onward. In America, RT provides a platform for those who would dare critique the status quo and the ruling powers. RT interviews and even provides program slots to Americans such as a Pat Buchanan, Chris Hedges, or Paul Craig Roberts. Americans that dissented with the status quo in decades past like Chomsky or Ralph Nader used to get air time on the major networks. Agree with them or not, the debates were healthy, served to educate the public, and helped to keep lawlessness in check. That doesn't happen any more.

Stating Assange is corrupt is totally baseless. Where is the evidence of corruption?

Has Wikileaks ever exposed Russia? Sure, Julian Assange claims he has a desire to expose Russia and China but what have been the actions? Zilch.

That's OK...the US engages in the same stuff. Look at the Panama Papers. I suspect that was a response to Edward Snowden's enablement by Russia/Wikileaks. Notice that Wikileaks wasn't involved in that "leaktivism".

Again, where is the evidence of Assange's corruption? Simply because his organization hasn't unearthed dirt on Russia or China doesn't prove anything. Do you think North Korea has committed crimes? You haven't shown me any secret files implicating North Korea's government of corruption. Does that mean you then that I have evidence that you are corrupt?

Much if not all of Assange's information is provided by whistleblowers. We've seen what the US government does to Whistle blowers. I'm sure Russia and especially China would treat them equally harshly if not worse than our own government.

But the issue shouldn't be about the messenger but the message. Manning is a strange cat with psychological problems but he shed light on practices against the Geneva conventions and basic principles of human decency. So throw him/her in a cage and hunt down the Assanges and Snowdens that dare tell the truth.

Words vs. Actions. Wikileaks actions have always favored Russia. Next you'll tell me it was a coincidence that Edward Snowden is being protected by Russia.

So if Wikileaks publishes documentation that shows criminality within the US Government, than the normal person's reaction should be, "Damn, we have to do something about the Russians."

I have no rebuttal for that line of thinking.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Snowden used Wikileaks as the conduit to disseminate the illegal espionage. I think Wikileaks was instrumental in helping him find safety, but Snowden worked with reporters to break the story. Since we are on the subject of Snowden, let's go there for a few minutes.

When confronted with evidence by Congress that the NSA was illegally spying on US citizens, Mr. Clapper lied to Congress. He still has a job. When Hilary lied repeatedly about the emails, she was in essence exonerated by the head of the FBI. When husband Bill met on an airplane with the Attorney General to discuss "grandchildren" prior to Hillary's appearance before the FBI, it was accepted as a coincidence.

Contrast to Snowden's plight. He would have preferred to escape the US government in a European country, but as all of the leaders there are in effect US vassals, he was guided to Honk Kong. When he escaped to Russia, he had to spend considerable days living in the Moscow airport rather than be ushered into a luxury hotel. The US suspected he was smuggled on board a jet transporting the President of Bolivia back to his country. The US forced the plane to land before allowing it to continue. Imagine if another country's military forced down Airforce 1 and made Obama subject to a search!

Snowden ended up in Russia because it was the only country that offered him protection. Every other country in the world other than probably Iran is either a US vassal state or fears sanctions or worse if they cross the US. But you're probably proud of that.

Wikileaks supposedly has never had one released document proven false or fabricated in 10 years.

They release nothing but actual documents and supposedly go to extreme lengths to verify to remain trusted by the public.

It's not just Wikileaks, Anonymous is a sworn enemy of HRC too. So is the very popular underground alt media.

Any organization seeking to destroy the corrupt system, global agenda, and now proven (by Wiki) propaganda tactics of the mainstream media is hell bent on stopping HRC.

The sexual predator smear job on Trump has now thrown a barrel of rocket fuel on their anti-HRC fire. Apparently fabricating sex crimes to hold power was too much to allow.

Buckle up. Bombshells are coming from the other side. It's now become a personal challenge for the world's (and U.S.'s) best hackers to expose Bill and HRC.

Even with Wikileaks each new drip is getting worse than the last. The last one was pretty damning. Something nasty, verifiable, and unable to ignore is coming before Nov.

If you want Trump to win you have to hope the cavalry is coming. My impression of the leaked documents so far is that for politically passionate people, the Hillary team is pretty careful even in private. As far as the "fabricating sex crimes" just click the heels or those ruby slippers together and keep repeating "This time Trump is Truthful. This time Trump is truthful..."

By passionate, you really mean educated more than a fence post?
