What are the major and minor sports?

It all depends on your perspective. Some would say football because of popularity and revenue, but I would take one NC in any other sport over 20 in a row in FB; it just doesn't interest me. Obviously most would say FB and BB are the two biggest on the men's side, and for the women it would probably be BB, VB and SB (in that order). But it you ask me, all Texas women's sports are MAJOR!! Go Horns!

Do we have major sports aside from baseball considering Baylor has beaten us two years running in football and swept us in basketball this year?

In years past that would occur only in "minor" sports such as tennis, track etc.

In my book there should be no minor sports at Texas because with our resources Texas should be a dominant player and NC competitive in all sports in which it participates.

The money makers are normally considered major - football, basketball, baseball.
Probably in that order, too.

Track & Field, volleyball, soccer, tennis, swimming and golf follow (not necessarily in this order) well below the money makers.
Then of course you have your rowing and other sports that are definitely minor.

There are two major sports - FB and BB.

I want Texas to do well in all sports; however, I only truly care about the aforementioned two plus baseball and women's soccer. (Only because I play and coach soccer.)
