"I killed the president of Paraguay... with a fork... how have YOU been?" I just think it would be depressing... shouldn't you be taking notes?"

"I'm not taking notes Martin because I'm not your doctor."

"OK don't start with that stuff again..."

"Martin, I'm emotionally involved with you."

"How are you emotionally involved with me?"

"Because I'm afraid of you."

"You're afraid of me."

"And that constitutes an emotional involvement, and it would be unethical for me to work with you under the circumstances."

"Don't you think that maybe you're upset because I told you what I do for a living, and you got upset about it and let it interfere with our dynamic?"

"Whoa... Martin, you didn't tell me what you did for a living -"

"Yes I did!"

"You didn't tell me what you did for a living for four sessions, and THEN you told me, and I said I don't wanna work with you. And yet you come back every week at the same time. That's a difficulty for me. On top of that, if you've committed a crime, or are even thinking of committing a crime, I have to tell the authorities!"

"I know the law, OK? But I dont' want to be withholding, I'm very serious about this process. ... And I know where you live."

"Ohhh now you see? That wasn't a nice thing to say. That wasn't designed to make me feel good!"

Another couple of favorites that I'd forgotten:

"Debbie Newberry's house... kinda snuck up on you didn't it?"
*pause*
"No, you drove us to it."

"So in other words, if you see suspicious activity on the premisis, you're authorized to shoot me?"
"Well, we try not to resort to deadly force, but if we see a situation, we do what we have to do."
"Excellent... so how did you get this job?"
"Well, they were hiring..."

"What an incredibly sweet offer... but no."

"I'll have an egg-white omelette, plain, nothing on it."
"That's not really an omelette."
"Look, I don't want to get into a semantical argument, I just want the protein, ok?"

One of my favorite movies.

Martin Q. Blank: There's a contract out on your life. Believe me. I was hired to kill you, but I'm not going to do it. It's either because I'm in love with your daughter or because I have a newfound respect for life.
Mr. Grocer: [following in van] That punk is either in love with that guy's daughter or he has a newfound respect for life.
