What aggy will do after DKR unveiling today

It will gall every aggy that hears this tonight: The University of Texas just had the largest crowd to ever watch a football game in the state of TEXAS ~98,000 ~

Those of you attending the game today are going to be very impressed with what you see and experience at DKR TMS. Don't think this new addition and general improvments (muchless the ~ 11,000+ more offical seats than Pyle) the last few years have gone unoticed by lowly aggy.

They cannot ignore or stand that the Joneses just increased the arms race by 5 levels. Here are some random thoughts:

DKR now looks like a shining jewel, especially to a recruit... Pyle Field like a tired aging tackle box
$ Bill Byrne / aggy cannot shrink seat size anymore to increase capacity to keep up
aggy cannot afford to add on meaningful new seats to Pyle anytime in the near future
aggy may have structural challanges adding to Pyle & have to build a whole new facility
aggy needs to start winning and keeping existing seats full if they have any hope of increasing seat capacity in the near future

Now having said all that, you know $ Bill and aggy will not sit by and do nothing. Here is what you will see in the next 12- 24 months:

aggy will try to spruce up Pyle with some cosmetic changes, new paint, banners and some other feel good things (ex. - petting zoo, including sheep)
aggy will put in some temp bleachers, if there is space to do so
$ Bill will announce "talks" or "plans" to increase seating capacity at Pyle

poor aggy

My personal opinions:

Maybe we can decommit a five star player to celebrate?

Nope! Don't have any of those.

Wait maybe, we can decommit one of our hot recruiting coaches to celebrate?

Nope! Don't have any of those, either.

Well, maybe we can decommit one of our 3 remaining four stars to celebrate?

Nope, let me check first and see if Baylor still left us any of those?

If aggy doesn't rip the seats out, they're planning to repaint each one to about 3.5" wide just so the stadium will hold 12 more people than DKR.

They will start e-mailing $Bill, complaining that Texas always seems to be a step ahead of aggy.

Remember the whining that poor $Bill had to listen to regarding Texas' larger jumbotron? That was a classic one.

Probably post the pic of the phantom renovations they want to do to Kyle with the new south Zone built and connecting sections between the grandstands.

And then we'll build our south endzone before that ever becomes a half-reality and they'll **** a sheep.

Thats some funny **** man!

DKR time...

I read somewhere, I think that it was the A&M media guide (I work in the media) that A&M actually added 400 seats to Kyle this off-season by removing armrests from some seating areas and reallocating seating in other areas. In other words, they made some more of their seats smaller to add more. I also remember hearing that the A&M board of regents was going to explore expanding Kyle Field as well.

They have asked to make additions in the past, recently even. They were rebuked and denied. Why? Because they do not even sell out their games now. One or two games a year, sure. But many games have seats unsold. The worlds best fans cannot even sell out their stadium as is.

No way they get approval to add more empty seats. Sorry, aggy.

I listened to the Horns on the radio. Craig Way said attendance was 98,053 and it was the biggest crowd to ever watch a football game in he Southwestern part of the U.S.A.

Update: I was wrong. This week aggy is not thinking about UT having a record setting crowd on Sat. No. They are busy navel gazing in shock about losing to the Red Wolves of Arkansas State. The sky is falling. Make no mistake about it, aggy is very shook up over Sherman coming out of the gate with a loss like this, what the rest of ths season has in store for them and how the Sips are going to tear them a new one when they come to Austin
