What aggies are saying. It's funny stuff.

The past few days my thoughts about a&m have been two...

One, congrats to their sports program for winning both outdoor T&F championships. Good for them, and good for the Big 12. I have no sour grapes about that. That's not my style.

Two, the "firing" (pushed out!) of their President smells. The lady appears to be first class and seems she wasn't playing some kind of commercial/political game by those who want to catch up with UT in various ways.

Other than that, I continue to be amazed at how jealous aggie can be. I keep thinking I'm reading posts by 7th graders. Also that it's the same poster who is conveniently logged in under 5,000 different names. The language and tone is forever the same.

Reading that thread at Texags, I can only imagine how much they cringed tonight when they heard over ESPN the Augie dugout speech and figured, "no freaking way," only to sit by and watch and writhe in agony as the Horns put up 10 unanswered runs and Taylor tossed a 2-hit shut-out the rest of the way.

Reading that post makes me enjoy the night that much more. Knowing how many aggies thought they had a feast of anti-Horns for the night, only to see the knife twisting in their little aggie bellies for inning after inning and knowing the Horn nation would be crowing big time come dawn as the sports world raves on and on about the Horn Greatness.

Instead of aggie enjoying their three spring championships (golf and two in track & field), showing good grace and Good Karma, instead they elect to sit by jealous as can be over their fellow institution's competitive success.

For shame. Tell me, is there really a university over there, or is it just a big Junior High / Middle School and somehow pretends to be a college?

Why don't they call it A&M College anyway? Isn't it more college than university? Anyway it can join SFA, Texas State, Sam Houston and McNeese and participate in that conference?

Texas has as many wins in the 2009 College World Series than the entire history of the A&M baseball program. Our baseball team alone has as many National Championships as their entire university combined - men and women (it was double just a month ago).

Aggies, you aren't allowed to even talk about our baseball program - good or bad. You're not even a blip on anybody's radar, especially ours. Go to midnight golf cheer and grab your junk with your other overall wearing brainwashed boyfriends and stop trying to discuss something you know nothing about.

if you take a count, most of the aggies over there were not gloating but rather were suggesting the OP should shut up.

They have their aholes but most of them are pretty good folks; I have about a million posts on that board and can verify most of them are good guys and gals.

both schools have some bad sports and both have people who revel in the other school's misfortunes; some just revel a little too early.

Hook 'em

a guy said "Poooooooooooooooooor UT. Number one seed and can't even get past lowly 4 seed ASU. Look in the dictionary for "underachievement" and you'll find a picture of UT athletics. I'm just going to spend the evening basking in the glory of three recent Natties. Great day to be an Aggie!!"

That might be the funniest thing I have ever heard.

Oh man, that was funny. Crows might make it onto the endangered species list at College Station, they eat so many of them. I liked the part where we win so much because we have sold our souls to the devil. Aggy always provides quality entertainment, I'll give 'em that much.

Imagine your an Aggie (OK don't) and you have won three national championships in the last month, your only non mythical championships other than softball. You want everyone to notice your great strides. There is only one thing that could overshadow these momentous days. What if big brother wins a national championship on ESPN for everyone to see? People pay attention to baseball. College track and golf, not so much. That's why they are hanging on every pitch in Omaha. They are praying that once again UT will not upstage them in their rare moment of glory. That would even be worse than Texas winning a swimming and diving national championship in the Aggie's home pool.

Accurate, the Aggies sold their souls when they hired Jackie Sherrill.

Some of them, and I know a few, will admit that.

If you read Bear Bryant's book you may see that they did it earlier than that.

Of course if you are objective you might say Bear went to Alabama so he would not have a bunch of aggies telling to win but do it fairly. Reading the Bear talk about all the trouble his programs got into over the years and how it was a darn shame is as much fun as reading Barry.

My aggy food rep from Sysco came in today so of course made sure to point out about being 2-0 in Omaha thus far, he just shakes his head and says "yeah you'll probably win another championship with about the 18th best team in the nation", on beating the Pac 10 pitcher of the year, "he's not that good, he didnt impress me, no one else worth a **** in the Pac 10", which in turn I brought up Oregon State knocking dear ole aggy out and he just said "do you need anything else?" and left.

We are never talented.....they are just as good.....blah blah blah.........They should just have a posting feature that allows them to click on a pull down bar with 10 easy and often replies.
