I think this is one that you take no matter what or when. Still he has so many offers and as time goes by I think our chances diminish. What happened this past year was unusual. I would love to have him though but we can't take a chance if Mr. Hegarty is willing to verbal.

Olineman shouldn't be afraid of competition if 7 guys are signed. There are 5 positions to play, at least 3 would redshirt, injuries for OL is common, and skilled backups get plenty of snaps.

Also GH the good thing is that even if you don't start we are very good about backups getting pleanty of PT at nearly all positions. Coach Brown and the staff is very good about letting fresh players play even if you don't start which is great because you get rested players in and everyone gets PT and gets noticed as evidenced by the success many of our players have had in the pros.

Not sure which side you are really supporting Bill, but it seems like the side of not "wait and see." In this case, I have to disagree. Westerman is one to wait on. So is Hegarty. Take both. As somebody stated on Barking Carnival, "we're taking 7 to get the 5 we want." Oh well, it's been looking good lately.

Go Westerman and Hegarty are two that you take whenever they commit even on NSD. That is my opinion though.

Hey Go I think others that you wait on and take no matter what are Reed, Rasco, Brown, Green and Turner. What do you think? Do you have any opinion on any others?

Well I think we will have to only take 1 of Rasco/Reed because of DE numbers (though I don't like it). Obviously Mal we wait on and IMO Green too if he's still interested. One of Vaughters/Wallace would be nice, but not sure if we are still going after LBs.

Basically, Bill, we're at the point where we wait on all these guys because they are just that freaking good this year.

I agree Go and of course there is no way you can get em all anyway. Of course we don't have inside information but what causes us ordinary fans anxiety is the 85 count limit but yet the coaches always work it out every year which is always amazing to me.

Yeah it's nice not having to worry about it myself. If we could somehow find a way to get to 25 this class we're basically guaranteed the top class in the country since all those last guys would be very upper 4* to 5* level, with Westerman and Brown both being top 10 guys easy.
