Anybody there that day and still pissed off about a one point loss?

I imagine that who ever wins, it'll be more like a 70-60 game than a 7-6 game this Saturday.

Very upsetting as we outplayed them but couldn't get but one scoring drive. They scored their td in the third quarter and we scored ours early in the fouth but we missed out PAT and they made their's. We had a shot at winning with five seconds left in the game but missed a 45 yard field goal.

1956 - I was 3 years old and missed that game. But I know my UT football history. That was the dark days of HC Ed Price - orange helmets and all. I believe the Horns went 1-9 in '56 and Ed was summarily sacked... they hired some young up & comer named Darrell K Royal in 1957...

Even had we made the field goal they would have almost certainly gone right back down and scored on us.
