I'm taking my family to our first game in many years this weekend, any tips on pre-game activities

Make sure you get there early enough to see the band make its entrance and march on the field.

Come early, Be loud, Stay late, Wear orange, but most of all have fun! Be sure to be in your seats very early for the Alumni Band's entrance and don't forget their halftime performance.

Alumni Band this weekend? Sweet!

Showband of the Southwest leaves the band hall for march down to the stadium at about 30 minutes before game time and enters the stadium at 20 minutes before game time pretty much like clockwork. Alumni band will only be on the field for halftime and then their performance will be diminished by their announcer who talks non stop while they are performing. The alumni band is huge and awesome but the announcer is super annoying if you are actually trying to listen to and enjoy the alumni band.

Should be an awesome Saturday in DKR. Enjoy.

I try to support the bands. But usually I'm too hungry at halftime.

You have to stay in your seat at halftime for the old twirler guy who tosses the baton way, way up. Best part of halftime!

That's good. I don't know why I thought that. School and work must be invading the important areas of my brain now.

We'll be there early & often. Gotta take the kids on a tour of the campus. It's been 25 years, probably changed a little.

Twirler guy still does his thing? He's gotta be 70
