Here's another good bit of news for Longhorn fans:

At the Head of the Colorado Regatta held on Oct. 26 on Lady Bird Lake, teams from Texas Crew won every event they entered. (other colleges there included Rice, TCU, Baylor, and aggy)

Actually, the women's volleyball team really is ranked #1.

Yeah - we are #34 (in the world - much tougher competition than Texas). I have my biases based on working with a lot of college graduates from around the world, but several of the top schools are way overrated (kind of like every $EC school in football except Alabama).

Our volleyball team stepped up. With the #1 team in the country coming into their house, they said, " Hell no, This is our house," and whipped Baylor's butt. Not only beat them but put them in their place. Dominated !!! Weeks ago without their beast middle blocker took the then #1 team in the country to 5 sets before narrowly losing to them. They may or may not make it to the Final Four this year, but they are representing the Burnt Orange properly. Now we need the football, M & W basketball, and baseball teams to step up their games. ( Left out softball because they are already on the rise from mediocrity .)
