Weekend Trips for Jeffcoat, White Davis...

Jeffcoat should ask the Florida coaching staff who will be the head coach in 2010 and in the successive 2 or 3 years. I am curious as to how Florida will answer that question.

Texas has such an amazing defensive class going for them this year. Best I can remember since 02. And that class went on to a national championship.

My thinking is that recruits really want to play for Muschamp. And they know he is going to be around for a long time with his 'head coach in waiting' title. Even if Mack retires in 2 or 3 years they know that the guy they signed on to play for will still be here and still be coaching them up.

Just to take another look at the 2010 defensive class:
DE - Greg Daniels, 6-4, 242, 4 stars
DE - Reggie Wilson, 6-4, 240, 4 stars, Rivals #24
DT - Taylor Bible, 6-3, 280, 4 stars, Rivals #97
DT - DeAires Cotton, 6-4, 275, 3 stars
DT - Ashton Dorsey, 6-2, 276, 4 stars, Rivals #71
LB - Aaron Benson, 6-2, 205, 4 stars, Rivals #144
LB - Tevin Jackson, 6-3, 230, 4 stars, Rivals #34
DB - Carrington Byndom, 6-0, 165, 4 stars, Rivals #200
DB - Bryant Jackson, 6-3, 175, 4 stars, Rivals #213
DB - Adrian White, 5-10, 171, 3 stars

According to Rivals mid-season ranking in Texas, UT so far has gotten some of the top talent in-state:
#2 DE (Wilson), #4 DE (Daniels), #1 LB (Jackson), #2 LB (Benson), #1 DT (Bible), #2 DT (Dorsey), #3 DB (Byndon), #4 DB (Jackson), #5 DB (White).

Texas had the #1 DB (Dixon) but then lost him to Baylor. Texas is still in on the #1 DE (Jeffcoat). And then there is that Hicks kid from Ohio.

Maybe I'm dumb. I think age has nothing to do with it.

Meyer says he's stepping down, then the next day says he isn't.

Maybe the joke's on me for even typing this...
